The aim of ecological education in the school is building a good attitude to the nature like source of inspiration, aesthetics and good health, as well as forming habits to protect the environment. On 14th December 2001 the school wins the international award of European foundation for ecological education “Green flag” and we regain it every second year since then.
The students learn about Bulgarian folk dances and traditions in the lessons of choreography where Bulgarian customs, ancient style of living and folklore are introduced. The dancing group is winner of many awards from regional and national fairs and competitions.
Visiting exhibitions of other school students and famous artists are organized in the school. Drawings of our students are in Hungary, Switzerland, Japan and many other countries.

Our school is a religious school situated in the socio-economically disadvantaged area in our town. A lot of our students live in depressed city area. The high level of unemployment and the low material status background determine the living standards of our students. The district, where our school is operating, is perceived as worse one. It is very difficult but we work hard to change this opinion. We support our students to achieve success, to overcome the stereotype.
We hope that this project will give us a chance to discover our identity, overcome social and cultural problems that we face every day. What's more, taking part in this project we will motivate students to learn foreign languages and make them aware how important and useful communicative competence, folklore tradition and ecological awereness are. Moreover, we believe that students’ participation will enable them not only to take care of their own personal development but also it
will teach them how to function in a modern society, care for our ecologically-threatened world, especially the area they live in and help them feel the part of the European Community.
