In connection with the great Christian holiday Blessed Virgin, which is celebrated as the Day of the Christian family too, today, November 21, 2012 in Primary School "L.Karavelov" the fourth grade students had a meeting with a representative of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church - Father Ivan.
He briefed them on the roots of this Christian holiday. For the children it was very interesting to learn that even in Assyria, Babylonia etc. thousands of years ago people had marital contracts. Students understood that the Ten Commandments were not created by the Christian Church, but are rooted in basic human morality. He called fourth grade to respect their teachers, parents and classmates, to appreciate and respect the virtues of the Christian family which are virtues of every honest human being.
Father Ivan shared that his grandfather also studied in this school. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the teachers of the school "L.Karavelov" who taught his children too.
The children asked many questions. The meeting was exciting for them.
